COVID-19 Travel Updates for Guam, Micronesia and the Philippines

Current travel restrictions and arrival procedures for Guam, Palau, CNMI, FSM, and the Philippines.

Guam

*Effective 12pm Aug. 21 through 12pm Aug. 28:
ALL INCOMING PASSENGERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO QUARANTINE IN A GOVERNMENT FACILITY. NO EXECEPTIONS EVEN WITH A NEGATIVE TEST OR IF ORIGINATING FROM A LOW-RISK AREA.

Philippines

Philippine borders are closed to most foreign travelers.

The following are allowed to travel and enter the Philippines, subject to 14 day quarantine and COVID-19 testing on arrival:

  1. Filipino nationals

  2. Spouse and children of Filipino nationals

  3. Diplomats, foreign government and international organization officials accredited in the Philippines

*Must present sufficient proof of eligibility (passports, birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.) upon booking ticket or upon check-in.

 

As of August 1st, Per IATF Resolution No. 56 (July 16, 2020):

 

Foreign nationals with long-term visas (immigrant visas under Sec. 13 of CA 613; RA 7919 and EO 324, including native-born foreign nationals) shall be allowed entry in the Philippines. while maintaining the priority of Returning Overseas Filipinos subject to the following conditions:

  1. Must have valid and existing visas at time of entry. However, no new entry visa application shall be accepted;

  2. With pre-booked accredited quarantine facility;

  3. With pre-booked COVID-19 testing provider;

  4. Subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry; and

The foregoing is without prejudice to applicable immigration laws, rules, and regulations.

Palau

No commercial flights operating at this time.

Since March 26, all commercial air travel to Palau has been temporary suspended until further notice as airlines have temporarily halted services.


*There have been no suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Palau.

FSM - Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, & Kosrae

No commercial flights operating at this time.

Per the President's Public Health Emergency Declaration:

 

- No passengers shall be permitted to disembark into the FSM from any air or sea vessel that originates outside the FSM.

 

- Persons traveling from any infected country, state or territory, are prohibited from entering into the FSM for as long as the COVID-19 Pandemic persists.

 

Rare exceptions apply to some essential healthcare workers and commercial vessels.

*The original declaration was issued on Jan 31st, 2020 and has been extended prior to expiring several times.

CNMI - Saipan, Rota & Tinian

Limited flights operating between Guam and Saipan, and between Saipan, Rota and Tinian.

Use the flow chart below to determine your arrival procedure in Saipan.


Saipan - United Airlines is running 3 flights per week (Mon/Thu/Sat) between Guam & Saipan.


Rota - Accessible only via Saipan on Star Marianas Air (Mon/Wed/Fri).


Tinian - Accessible only via Saipan on Star Marianas Air (Daily).
